Meet Fedora Wines from the serene wine region of Sežana, Slovenia. They are a testament to heritage, dedication, and a profound love for the land. Run by Valter and Mojca Kobal, Fedora Wines is more than just a winery; it's a legacy passed down through generations.
The roots of Fedora Wines delve deep into history, with the Kobal family planting their first vines in the quaint village of Dolanci as early as 1880. Despite challenges posed by nationalization and cooperative wineries, the family persevered, maintaining their vineyards and preserving the essence of traditional winemaking.
In 2014, Valter and Mojca made a pivotal decision to revive the family legacy by establishing Fedora Wines. With 9 hectares of meticulously cultivated vineyards, they nurture a diverse array of grape varieties, including indigenous gems like Pinella, Zelen, and Ribolla, alongside international favorites like Chardonnay and Merlot.
Inspired by their passion for authentic, terroir-driven wines, Valter and Mojca embarked on a journey to produce wines that resonate with the spirit of the land. For them, natural winemaking isn't just a technique; it's a philosophy rooted in respect for nature and tradition.
Visitors are also welcome to experience the warmth of Fedora Wines firsthand. Amidst the rustic charm of their winery, guests are treated not just to exquisite wines but to moments of connection and camaraderie.
Cheers!
