Cantina Margò consists of about 5 hectares of vineyards to which a vegetable garden of about 0.5 hectares has recently been added on the shores of Lake Trasimeno. There are two vineyards: one on the hills of Perugini, at about 180 meters above sea level and one above Lake Trasimeno, at about 500 meters above sea level. The company is certified organic and also applies biodynamics. We use tractors for mowing grass and sub-row work. The harvest is manual: the grapes are harvested in boxes and processed in the cellar, usually de-stemmed with whole berries or without de-stemming, and ferment without temperature control. The vinifications take place in steel, fiberglass and wood containers. Small amounts of sulfur are added only in case of need.
