Packed with dried cranberry and red currants, refreshingly grapey (for lack of a better word, forgive me!) Would be perfect with blue cheese - Our Stichelton, perhaps?
"Putain qu'est ce que c'est bon ce bordel"! Un super vin d'apéro, du Gamay comme ça on en boit encore et encore.
Light, slightly acidic but with great layers of flavors. This Gamay to me was like drinking conventional Pinot Noir. Would like to taste it again after letting it breathe longer before consumption.
Light berry nose with a touch of Brett. Juicy berries, bright and red, in the palate. Mid-weight.
Classic Beaujolais, goes by easily. Nice acidity and strawberrylike.
Marcel Lapierre. Le grand nom du Beaujolais. L'homme qui a mis en pratique la philosophie de Jules Chauvet. L'homme à qui les vignerons naturels doivent tout ou presque. Mathieu Lapierre. Le fils. C'est toujours aussi bon. Raisin Gaulois. C'est du fruit. On adore.
As I was sipping this i suddenly realized my credit apr was ridiculously high. I was getting absolutely shafted. So I called my bank and had them decrease it. I then took another sip, sat back and appreciated the moment. Great choice I thought to myself, great choice indeed.
Base wine of the Domain but very impressive. Nice berry aromas with a light floral touch and softly inegrated tannins.

Delicious and not much tannin. Young, fruity and very easy to drink. Removes the bad name of Beaujolais with a lovely long finish. Strawberry and raspberry notes no bubblegum. For Beaujolais it lasts and lasts and lasts! Yummy!
Marcel Lapierre’s mentor, Jules Chauvet, is the man who in the 1950’s spoke out against chemical fertilization in the name of protecting “natural wine” and the traditional viticultural and winemaking methods of Beaujolais. Throughout his career, Marcel Lapierre and a small group of other vignerons and winemakers in the region, made it their mandate to maintain the viticultural and winemaking traditions of Beaujolais. These traditional practices valued old vines, no synthetic herbacides, pesticides, late harvesting, sorting grapes and using only the healthiest, minimal or no sulphur and zero chaptilization. Marcel once said, “Our ideal is to make wine from 100% grape juice.” Marcel passed away in 2010 and now his work is carried on by his talented son Mathieu. Nobody’s wines taste like Marcel Lapierre’s. He is the source of a whole new school of winemaking, turning the hands of time back to wine the way Mother Nature envisioned it. Beautiful ruby red color, velvety mouthfeel, spicy, fruity. Like black pepper and blackberry jam. Delicious.

Love this little wine. Screw top, ~$20. Goes down easy. About to enjoy with a Superette steak in New Orleans :)

Kind of what you'd expect. Light and fruity, not bad, nothing to write home about though.
