The Az. Agr. Sequerciani was born in 1992, in Maremma, when Ruedi Gerber, a Swiss film producer, decided to renovate the then abandoned Sequerciani farm.

Three years later he began working the land with biodynamic methods, gradually transforming into an agricultural company that today has around 170 hectares (mostly wooded), of which 15 are planted with vines.

The unique position, on the rolling hills of the Maremma, 25 minutes from the sea and at an altitude of approximately 250m above sea level, provides a light breeze, which prevents the grapes from being damaged, and a clayey soil rich in marl, ideal for the production of our natural wine.

Our native vines - recently rediscovered - such as Pugnitello and Foglia Tonda, are ideal for this type of soil and climate. Other types of grapes that we grow in Sequerciani are Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico and Vermentino.

In the cellar, we adopt natural winemaking, without the use of chemicals or filtering, with spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, and aging - for the most part - in terracotta amphorae, all in a modern and controlled environment.

Our intention is to amaze with an authentic and pure wine, capable of telling its own story... a real message in a bottle.

Tre anni dopo inizi&ograve; a lavorare la terra con metodi biodinamici trasformandosi gradualmente in un'azienda agricola che oggi conta circa 170 ettari (per gran parte boschivi), di cui 15 coltivati a vite.
La posizione unica, sulle morbide colline della Maremma, a 25 minuti dal mare e ad un&rsquo;altitudine di circa 250m s.l.m., fornisce una brezza leggera, che impedisce alle uve di danneggiarsi, ed un terreno argilloso ricco di galestro, ideale per la produzione del nostro vino naturale.
I nostri vitigni autoctoni - recentemente riscoperti - come il Pugnitello e il Foglia Tonda, sono ideali per questo tipo di terreno e clima. Altri tipi di uva che coltiviamo a Sequerciani sono Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico e Vermentino.
In cantina, adottiamo una vinificazione naturale, senza l'uso di sostanze chimiche o filtraggi, con fermentazione spontanea in serbatoi di cemento, e affinamento - per la grandissima parte - in anfore di terracotta, il tutto in un ambiente moderno e controllato.
La nostra intenzione &egrave; quella di stupire con un vino autentico e puro, capace di raccontarsi da s&egrave;&hellip;un vero e proprio messaggio in bottiglia.
