Macerated pinot gris from grapes coplanted with chardonnay at the vineyard at l'Abbaye de Saint Vivant, just across the hill from Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée. I don't know how long the maceration was, unfortunately. The wine is beautifully copper-orange coloured (ramato), with vibrant aromas of nectarine, fresh redcurrants (groseilles), herbyness and a little touch of barnyard. Delicate wine with subtle aromas. It will develop spectacularly in your glass if you drink it very slowly and allow it to aireate. Drank with raw langoustines in fermented carrot juice and chili oil at Lux, Rotterdam. Wonderful.
