Wild Grapes - Samtskhe-Javakheti
Enemy invesions and occupations destroyed the village and vineyards of Meskheti Region. Over the past decade, i have been working to bring back the local endemic vines. So far, i have been able to identify 24 of the 40 varietals that are located in the wild. I forage these grapes at harvest time and make small quantities of these wines. Grape was fermented with skins and without stems for 6 months in Qvevri.
