Our journey began as a shared passion, where we combined our knowledge and hands-on experience to experiment with winemaking. Today, we proudly present our heartfelt creations. Each bottle reflects our love and passion, as we handle everything from pruning and harvesting to winemaking, labeling, boxing, and even delivering by hand. We strive to demonstrate that women have the power to thrive in this male-dominated industry. Our labels showcase unfiltered images of the incredible women we work with, captured on our phones—raw and authentic.
Witnessing the tireless efforts of women who rise before dawn to provide for their families, often without recognition, ignited a fire within us. We are committed to fair compensation, ensuring these women receive equal pay for their invaluable contributions. We believe in fostering a community that honors their hard work, sharing stories, laughter, and support along the way.
To date, we have released:
Farha: A co-ferment of Lebanese apples and Merwah (an indigenous Lebanese grape), aptly named “Farha” (meaning joy in Arabic). This wine is a joyful tribute to the happiness these women bring, made using carbonic maceration for the apples and skin-contact for the Merwah. We offer two versions: a still Farha and a sparkling Farha (unfined and undisgorged).
Kanz: A whole-cluster carbonic still red wine made from Syrah and Grenache, aged in amphora. “Kanz” means treasure, reflecting how the grape is the gem of the wine, with fermentation beginning within the berry and then released into the tank.
Ward: A 100% Tempranillo rosé, direct-pressed and aged in neutral oak barrels. “Ward” means rose, symbolizing the women we work with—strong and beautiful, often hidden beneath the surface, much like a rose blooming over time.
All our wines are unfined and unfiltered, reflecting our dedication to minimal intervention and the natural beauty of our beloved land.
As we continue this journey, we remain focused on empowering the women around us, recognizing their worth, and building a future where their efforts are truly valued. Each bottle of Heya Wines is a testament to their strength and our shared commitment to a more equitable and appreciative winemaking community.
No orange wines at the moment.
