After more than 15 years of experiences and collaborations in the
world of wine I realized the dream of opening mine
small farm to produce wine “like
I like it ”in the hills near home. The project is
started in 2018 with the rental and accommodation of
vineyards and the cellar of a historic producer of
area, Ermido Piva.
The company is located in Nanto, province of Vicenza, on the
eastern side of the Berici Hills, district
hilly of sedimentary origin, characterized by
silt-clay soils, rich in limestone, with pH
basically basic.
It consists of just over 2 hectares of vineyards, divided into five small plots, 1 hectare of wood,
olive and fruit trees. The vines grown are Tai
Red, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon,
Carmenére, Garganega, Pinot Blanc, Tai Bianco and
Istrian Malvasia.
The work in the countryside aims to enhance the
peculiarities of the different vineyards and different varieties
of grapes, seeking the maximum balance between the plants e
the surrounding environment. We do not use products
chemicals, we limit the treatments and steps with the
tractor, the harvest is done manually.
we go in a way that respects man and the territory,
maintaining and increasing the vitality of our land. The grapes are representative of the vineyards from which
come and transformed into wine in a simple way,
without forcing and manipulation, to obtain wines
original, genuine and accessible.
In the cellar we make a careful selection of the grapes,
fermentations take place with indigenous yeasts, without
temperature control. They are not operated on
clarifications, subtractions or additions, sulphites are used only if necessary and in minimal quantities. Bottling takes place without filtration. Every vintage does
story in itself.
