Located on the most prestigious limestone plateau stars of the right bank of the Garonne, overlooking the magnificent Dordogne valley on the site called by the elders “le Côteau des Merveilles” for the excellence of its vintage, the place of exploitation of Château le Puy is the second highest geodetic point in the Gironde department. The current part of the estate was renovated. built in 1832 by our grandfather Barthélemy AMOREAU but the original part dates from the beginning of the 17th century.
Several buildings with walls erected from a mixture of stones and earth dominate a Gallic oppidum. A field of prehistoric size crosses the land from side to side and it is still not rare today to find flint. À At the dawn of the year 2000, a rejuvenation of the buildings is underway, combining the ancient and the modern, to perpetuate as best as possible the traditions handed down from father to son.
