My name is Valentin, I grew up in a small village near Chinon. My parents had a car garage there. They encouraged me to study. I worked in the office, and it was... clearly not for me! For the love of life and wine, in 2016, with Marie, we decided to change course. We were thirsty for a professional and family project in our image, more authentic and more lively. With a 1-year-old child under our arm, we move several times and take the time to train ourselves. In 2019, we are settling in the Véron (a small valley at the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne). There are 7 plots with soils with a strong identity (different basements, different exposures). This results in 7 cuvées. We observe with passion our grape variety expressing itself differently according to the terroirs. To express the typicality of the soils, we seek to promote life at each stage: Soil: we mainly work with quads to limit compaction (only 3 to 4 tractor passes per year). AB certified. Plant: we trim little (0 to 1 passage / year against 3-4 in a classic field). We thus preserve a maximum of leaves, favoring photosynthesis and the aromatic complexity of the grapes. Fruit: we harvest by hand and make sure to bring in cold grapes to be able to vinify naturally (in 2020 we had to harvest from 4 to 11 a.m. with a headlamp!). Wine: vinification with indigenous yeasts. We work to produce lively, artisanal and precise wines, with the typicality of our terroir. We work on a piecemeal basis. Each cuvée has the name of the locality: Le Pérou, Les Moulins de Beau Puy, Les Picasses, etc. Our Reds are 100% Cabernet Franc, our White 100% Chenin.

Je m’appelle Valentin, j’ai grandi dans un petit village près de Chinon. Mes parents y tenaient un garage auto. Ils m’ont encouragé à faire des études. J’ai travaillé en bureau, et ce n’était … clairement pas fait pour moi !

Par amour de la Vie et du vin, en 2016, avec Marie nous avons décidé de changer de route. Nous avions soif d’un projet professionnel et familial à notre image, plus authentique et plus vivant. Avec un enfant de 1 an sous le bras, nous déménageons à plusieurs reprises et prenons le temps de nous former.

En 2019, nous nous installons dans le Véron (un petit vallon à la confluence de la Loire et de la Vienne). Il y a 7 parcelles avec des sols à forte identité (différents sous-sol, différentes expositions). Il en découle 7 cuvées. Nous observons avec passion notre cépage s’exprimer différemment selon les terroirs.
Pour exprimer la typicité des sols, nous cherchons à favoriser le vivant à chaque étape :

Sol : nous travaillons majoritairement au quad pour limiter les tassements (seulement 3 à 4 passages de tracteur /an). certifié AB.
Plante : nous rognons peu (0 à 1 passage /an contre 3-4 dans un domaine classique). Nous conservons ainsi un maximum de feuilles, favorisant la photosynthèse et la complexité aromatique des raisins.
Fruit : nous vendangeons à la main et faisons en sorte de rentrer des raisins froid pour pouvoir vinifier naturellement (en 2020 il nous a fallu vendanger de 4h à 11h à la frontale !).
Vin : vinifications en levures indigènes. Nous travaillons à produire des vins vivants, artisanaux et précis, avec la typicité de notre terroir.
Nous travaillons en parcellaire. Chaque cuvée a le nom du lieu-dit : Le Pérou, Les Moulins de Beau Puy, Les Picasses, …

Nos Rouges sont 100% Cabernet Franc, notre Blanc 100% Chenin.
