Located in Calce, in the Eastern Pyrenees, the estate today extends over 19 hectares. Olivier Pithon was introduced to wines by his maternal grandfather, as well as his older brother (Jo Pithon), both winegrowers. So it was natural that he came to the vineyard. Through his experiences he made decisive encounters.
First in Bordeaux, with Stéphane Derenoncourt, a renowned winemaker, who taught him what you don't learn at school: the fact that the most important thing is to make wines that you like. Then in Roussillon: at the end of 2000, while he was looking for a place to set up his estate, he benefited from the sponsorship of Gérard Gauby, an illustrious winemaker from Roussillon.
Catalan by adoption, Olivier was seduced by Roussillon, from where he never left. ince 2010, Olivier Pithon has rigorously applied the principles of biodynamics. This allows it to best highlight its shale and limestone terroirs. A fan of biodiversity, there are cows in the vineyards and on the estate's land as well as a few beehives.
No sparkling wines at the moment.
