Beautiful wine every time. Lots of secondary fermentation going on in the bottle, spritz and mineral iron aromas. When spritz goes off the wine, you are left with a rustic Italian wine with loads of bright fresh fruit, acidity and tannins. Which is amazing after 22 years.
Still very fresh. Balanced acidity, lush fruit. Classic Italian flavours. Beautiful wine.
Cupo, balsamico, boisè, sottile, informissima. Annata non felice ma il frutto è nitidissimo, il colore perfetto e la bocca freschissima ancora sul frutto. Grazie Lino ❤

Different from bottle to bottle . Sometimes smells like Lino’s red Marlboro, sometimes beautiful like ripe fruit or wild berry pocket . This one was exactly in the middle ) Alive legend of Oltrepo Pavese with his noble single vineyard Barbacarlo . No modern rules , only old school ! 8 ha of organic farming, no certification , they don’t need it !
