Picotes Wines is the result of a huge family passion for producing wines using old vines and ancestral methods. From great-grandfather Manuel in 1920, to grandfather António in 1950 and father Jorge in 1980, all of them inspired António and his close family in 2019 to continue the legacy of wine production, respecting as much as the vineyards of Arribas do Douro in Sendim give and making wine with little mechanical and chemical intervention.
Located in the village of Sendim, in the municipality of Miranda do Douro, in the heart of the Douro International Natural Park in Trás-os-Montes, Picotes Wines stands out for working only with centenary goblet-trained old vines, with local varieties, many of them unique in Portugal, respecting nature as much as possible and producing wines in an artisanal way.
