Daughter of restaurateurs, Catherine should have continued on this path. But that was without counting on her pugnacious temperament. After a BTS in viti-oeno, a diploma in oenology and some professional experience (including one with Jean-Louis Trapet), Catherine Riss was hired by Michel Chapoutier to take care of an estate acquired in Alsace in Reichsfeld. Then very quickly her adventure began in 2012 on 1.3 ha thanks to the invaluable help of Antoine Kreydenweiss and Lucas Rieffel (for whom she worked until 2014). In 2015 she moved into her own premises. Her work in the vineyards was oriented towards organic farming from the start and obtained her certification in 2015. A biodynamic approach is increasingly practiced there. The winemaking takes place without inputs or filtration.
