In 2006 France Crispeels founded the Réveille vineyard, acquiring its first plots in Cassagnes and Montalba-Le-Château in particular, and exploiting them in organic farming. The integration in 2022 of a cellar and vines in Bélesta as well as new plots on the Caramany terroir leads him to work with his son Hippolyte 17 hectares of vines, at an altitude of 350 to 550m, on terroirs gneiss and granite arenas.
The conduct of agricultural work in organic farming also includes plant cover and carries out an agroforestry project. The work values carried by France, passionate about nature as much as wine, include principles from biodynamics, with a global perspective of protecting the scrubland ecosystem surrounding each plot. The work of the soil is mechanized by intervine and Canadian passages, with a pickaxe and brush cutter in the squared vines. The estate team practices gentle pruning of its vines in winter, and the harvest is done manually. These allow the harvest of around 25hl/ha of black and white carignan, syrah, gray and black grenache, muscat petit grain and macabeu; The 2023 season should provide around 40,000 bottles of IGP Côtes Catalanes and AOP Côtes du Roussillon.
Winemaking focuses on wines with precise aromatic profiles, with the aim of finesse, freshness, and subtle fruitiness. France does not use artificial inputs in winemaking and aging, favoring the work of native yeasts. We aspire to produce quality living wines that invite pleasure and conviviality, creating moments of sharing.
No sparkling wines at the moment.
