The domain
Our 22 ha family property is located in Valvignères, a small village in the south of the Ardèche. We are, brother and sister, partners in a G.A.E.C.
The vines
Passed on by our father, thanks to his competent, obstinate work, we inherited a beautiful vineyard planted with grape varieties such as: Syrah, Grenache, Portan, Cabernet, Carignan, Merlot for the Reds, Viognier, Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc: for the whites, and above all, very old vines for the region. The land is limestone or clay-limestone.
Winemaking
From the harvest (manual, in small crates) to bottling, we seek to vinify our wines as naturally as possible: WITHOUT chemical input: 100% indigenous yeasts, 0% vitamins, enzymes... WITHOUT sulphites (these wines should be kept at a temperature below 14°). All liquids are moved by gravity (never pumping). Of course, this type of vinification involves a method of cultivation that respects the soil and the plant: scribbling, no chemical weed killer, no insecticides, no anti-rot, no addition of chemical fertilizer and small yields in order to harvest a healthy and balanced harvest.
Wines
ALL our vineyard has been in "Organic Agriculture" since 2002, (certifying body: Ecocert) but our choice to cultivate cleanly, healthily is much older.
