In the heart of the unique terroir of the Cote Vermell - formed of metasedimentary schists with quartz veins - in a landscape that has been almost entirely transformed by man into vineyard terraces - with a wine-growing tradition that dates back well over 1800 years (some say 2200 years...) - in conditions that can often only be described by superlatives: Wind, sun, drought, torrential rain.... - directly next to the Mediterranean See, in the historic region of Catalonia with its proud identity - at BANYULS - we make wine only from grapes, without any other ingredients: interventionist to a minimum, certified organic, thoughtful, with hands, feet, a lot of heart and mind and a lot of time. The result is wines that have a lot to tell, that take you on a journey through our terroir, that open horizons and show unexplored facets - in all cases: an enriching experience, often a shifting of boundaries and always the desire to create dishes around them, to philosophize about them, to share the experience and... to repeat.
