Historic company on the Zegla hill, a few meters from the Slovenian border. The company today bears the name of his father Edi, but it's managed by their children, Kristian and Veronika Keber.
Anchored in the historic decision, the company produces a single blend, Collio – wine from native grapes, as well as as it was done historically. The three varieties, Tocai Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia Istriana are harvested together manually, pressed with whole grapes, decanted overnight in steel. Spontaneous fermentation and refinement take place in the classic cement barrels from the 1960s which have never been put into disuse by the company. The wine is not filtered but decanted two or three times and remains in the cellar for 1 and a half years before being bottled.
The company has 12 hectares of vineyards, in which we carry out certified biodynamic agriculture, with the aim of recreating the vineyard of the past, where different varieties harmoniously coexisted. of grapes, fruit and vegetables, with the aim of increasing biodiversity overall – during the winter the work in the vineyard is carried out by sheep and cows who fertilize naturally, trample the soil and eat the grass. During the spring/summer period until the end of the harvest they clean the company's meadows and woods.
For treatments we use copper (around 1 kg per hectare) and sulphur; nettle, horsetail and valerian herbal teas, 500 and 501 and cumulus preparations which have helped in 10 years to lower the quantity of of copper and sulphur
