We are a lively example for a traditional family winery – we, Sophie & Rudi with our parents Norbert und Gerda. Due to our understanding of nature, we can reach our demand for the best quality and enable our wines to show their typical character. The biodynamic cultivation (since 2014) in addition to Rudolf Steiner’s theory is a logical consequence of our environmental and respectful life attitude. We step in the background while the terroir plays the central role in vinification. We are located in Platt, which lies in the western part of Weinviertel and sets itself apart through unique soils and its beneficial microclimate. Our terroir brings wines with a fine spiciness, complex aromas and a lively freshness.

Fidesser
The wines from this assortment line are single vineyard and village wines from one grape variety. Wines which reflect the typical terroir of our vineyards. All wines are hand-picked, fermented spontaneously, bottled without any finings and filtrations and with a minimal amount of sulfur (from zero to under 40 mg/l total) with the tendency to decrease from next vintage. Most of the
Fidesser
wines are pressed directly, without maceration time - they are therefore more precise, straight-lined wines. These wines are very reserved and quiet in the "youth". After a year in the barrel and at least a year in the bottle, they are beginning to show their true potential.
In summary: The
Fidesser
wines (white label) are not crazy, intrusive wines. From our point of view, they are "normal" wines that are still stunning after 30, 40 or 50 years. In our opinion, "Normal-Wine" is a wine from which nothing has been added or removed - simply fermented grape juice paired with lots of energy. Our biggest goal is to pour our future children a 30-year-old wine that tells a story about soil and climate and is still full of life.

Fidesser*orbis
The wines from this assortment line are blends of traditional Austrian grape varieties and are a project of us – Sophie & Rudi - the youngest family generation. Away from uniformity there is enough space for creativity and new ideas.
fidesser*orbis wines are hand-picked, mostly skin fermented, bottled without any finings and filtrations and with a minimal amount of sulfur (from zero to under 25 mg/l total). We add sulfur only before bottling and only if we think they need some. Our wines are aged for at least one year in the barrel, on the full lees before bottling.
We started
fidesser*orbis with vintage 2019, initially with very small quantities. In the meantime, the demand is quite good, which is why we have removed some white label wines from the range in order to let the majority of the grapes flow into the
fidesser*orbis line in the future.
